Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities and Duties
- Recording daily transactions and preparing invoices and financial reports when required.
- Coding and filing financial materials following the established accounting procedures.
- Preparing accurate bank reconciliations and deposits.
- Tracking and processing account payable and receivable ensuring timeliness, the accuracy of codes, and appropriate backup.
- Preparing and verifying course payments for interest course instructors.
- Processing month-end duties.
- Providing general administrative support as needed, including but not limited to the areas of reception, programs, special projects, and communications, etc.
- Working as a team with the staff members and volunteers, reporting to the management.
Qualifications
Minimum one-year related experience; nonprofit experience a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English (in Chinese is an asset)
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic work environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision
Ability to develop effective work plans, organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines
